Where we came from
In 2016, Appt Health’s founder, Hector, was working in an East London GP practice. He experienced the challenges that NHS staff face when managing complex preventive healthcare workflows coupled with the barriers facing patients trying to access care. Appt Health was launched to create a world where preventive healthcare was accessible to everyone and health inequalities were eliminated.
Since 2017, we have made an impact that we’re proud of. We have demonstrably increased the uptake for dozens of prevention programmes that prevent long-term and chronic conditions, including increasing the uptake of lung cancer screening by 18 percentage points.
