Appt Health was founded in 2017 after our founder, Hector Smethurst, saw first-hand the challenges of delivering preventive care — both from the patient’s perspective and the provider’s. While working in an East London GP practice, he set out to build something better.

After years of research, co-design, and development, our first product launched in 2021. Since then, we’ve been scaling rapidly, partnering with NHS services across the UK to deliver smarter, more equitable patient engagement.
